The Threshold Room
A private curatorial entry into The Art of Becoming

ABOUT THIS ENTRY
The Threshold Room is a private curatorial entry into The Art of Becoming, a true immersive memoir and living body of work I began nearly ten years ago.
This page is not meant to function as a full portfolio or finished presentation. It is a room in progress — a way to walk through the early footage, visual fragments, poetry activations, key-card invitations, and live questions that continue to shape the work.
At the center of this practice is what I am beginning to call Theory of a Small Room: the belief that big dreams often need intimate rooms first. Before a person can enter the stage, the street, the institution, the archive, or the public record, they may need a smaller space where they can practice voice, safety, imagination, failure, and becoming.
This entry gathers fragments of that process: origin footage from the early formation of The Art of Becoming, collective poetry work with young women, visual studies around shame and language, and the access-object system I am developing through key cards and private invitations.
I am interested in how memoir can become a room, how a room can become an archive, and how an archive can become a public activation without losing its intimacy.
