PTS(D): Faith without works is Dead

Project type

Experimental Video Installation

Date

2019

Location

Princeton, New Jersey

Here and everywhere, our common humanity and our cultural and racial diversity deserve celebration. Yet in America, oppression against people who make a difference persist, from the depopulation of native peoples, to the legacy of slavery, to the ravages of the Mexican American War, The Chinese Exclusion Act, Jim Crow, the Stonewall Riots And more, including injustices within congregations and institutions of higher learning. Even the founders of Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) benefited from slave labor although they spoke against it. Emancipation, legislative reform, the Civil Rights Movement, and grassroots resistance today such as #BlackLiveMatter and #MeToo have led to measures of justice. Yet the problems are far from settled. They are still fresh and raw.
